Three-month LME aluminium shed to close at US$2,330/t; SHFE aluminium gained 0.05%
Three-month LME aluminium shed 0.39% to settle at US$2,330 per tonne on Monday. SMM expects the contract to move between US$2,300-2,350 per tonne today.
As of Monday, April 19, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2331per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2331per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2342.50per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2342.50per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2353.50 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2353.50per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1819625 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1301175 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 518450 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2344.01per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2787 per tonne on Tuesday, 20 April 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2106 aluminium contract finished the day 0.05% higher at RMB18,220 per tonne on Monday. Open interest fell 7,849 lots to 163,227 lots. The most-active SHFE 06 aluminium contract closed 0.42% firmer at RMB18,140 per tonne in overnight trading. It is likely to trade between 17,900-18,200 per tonne today.
