
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has plunged by RMB 150 per tonne on Thursday, January 27, following a hike of RMB 420 per tonne on January 26. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the primary aluminium ingot price has come in at RMB 21,440 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 21,420 per tonne and RMB 21,460 per tonne. The spot contract is estimated to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-10 per tonne.

In Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 180 per tonne to RMB 21,380 per tonne, followed by the downfall of RMB 160 per tonne in Chongqing and Shenyang to stand at RMB 21,440 per tonne and RMB 21,370 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi and Foshan, primary aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,260 per tonne and RMB 21,450 per tonne, respectively.
China’s domestic low-carbon aluminium price has also slipped by RMB 149 per tonne on January 27 to come in at RMB 22,052 per tonne, found SMM.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has also seen a downfall of RMB 150 per tonne on January 27 to come in at RMB 23,000 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 22,950 per tonne and RMB 23,050 per tonne, according to SMM.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have, however, remained restrained at RMB 21,150 per tonne and RMB 22,350 per tonne, respectively.
Among primary aluminium input costs, caustic soda (32% concentration) price in Shandong has dipped by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 860 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 800-920 per tonne.
Aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.20 per kg to stand at RMB 23.25 per kg on January 27.
