China’s A00 aluminium ingot price opens the week with a fall of RMB210/t; Australian alumina price grows to US$370/t

On Monday, January 30, A00 aluminium ingot price in China opened the week with a drop of RMB 210 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,770 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 130 per tonne to RMB 90 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 18,750 per tonne to RMB 18,790 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot prices have gone down in all the major provinces. To begin with, the prices in Foshan, Hangzhou and Chongqing have descended by RMB 210 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,820 per tonne, RMB 18,765 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price in Wuxi has dipped by RMB 205 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,760 per tonne. On the same day, both Gongyi and Tianjin experienced a fall of RMB 190 per tonne to score at RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 18,740 per tonne. In Shenyang and Linyi, the prices have gone down by RMB 160 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,770 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has declined by RMB 210 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,402 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have descended by RMB 200 per tonne to score at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne.
On the other hand, the Australian alumina FOB price has hiked by US$67.63 per tonne to come in at US$370 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.2 per kg to settle at RMB 20.3 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 20.20 per kg and RMB 20.4 per kg.
The aluminium alloy (A356) price has dropped by RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,950 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,800 per tonne to RMB 20,100 per tonne. In contrast, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shown no change to settle at RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne.
