China’s A00 aluminium ingot price hurtles down RMB300/t; Alumina price in Shandong rises by RMB15/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has seen a huge plunge of RMB 300 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,960 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Monday, December 12. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,940 per tonne and RMB 18,980 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at premium prices of RMB 10 per tonne and a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne.

The provinces in China all have witnessed plummeting prices today, with aluminium price showing the highest fall in Tianjin by RMB 320 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,980 per tonne, followed by RMB 310 per tonne slump in Foshan to halt at RMB 18,890 per tonne. The prices of aluminium in Hangzhou and Chongqing both have nosedived by RMB 300 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,970 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne. In Wuxi, the aluminium price dropped by RMB 295 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,950 per tonne, whereas the aluminium price in Shenyang has shed RMB 290 per tonne, arriving at RMB 18,940 per tonne. In Linyi, the aluminium price came in at RMB 18,960 per tonne with a major descend of RMB 270 per tonne. Lastly, in Gongyi, the price of aluminium has stooped to RMB 18,790 per tonne with a decrease of RMB 250 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has de-escalated by RMB 315 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,483 per tonne on Monday, December 12.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have dwindled down RMB 300 per tonne each closing at RMB 26,900 per tonne and RMB 27,900 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price in China has gained RMB 8 per tonne, to clock at RMB 2,882 per tonne, today. Alumina price in Shandong has risen by RMB 15 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,815 per tonne, while the alumina price in Shanxi has recorded an addition of RMB 10 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,930 per tonne. The alumina price in Henan has escalated by RMB 5 per tonne to RMB peg at RMB 2,950 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has plunged by RMB 300 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,100 per tonne, with averages ranging between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have both lost RMB 100 per tonne, stopping at RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne, respectively.

The price of aluminium powder in China has decreased by RMB 0.30 per kg, stopping at RMB 20.50 per kg with average prices hovering between RMB 20.40 per kg and RMB 20.60 per kg.
