China’s A00 aluminium ingot price grows by RMB60/t after an intermittent drop; Aluminium alloy(A356) price touches RMB20,000/t level

China's domestic A00 aluminium ingot price has again registered a rise on Thursday, October 13, after an intermittent dip last day. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price has increased by RMB 60 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,480 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,500 per tonne, with a spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 100-60 per tonne.

Among the major Chinese provinces, Foshan has seen the highest growth of A00 aluminium ingot price by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,510 per tonne, followed by the rise of RMB 60 per tonne in Chongqing, Hangzhou, and Wuxi to settle at RMB 18,540 per tonne, RMB 18,490 per tonne, and RMB 18,470 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang and Linyi, primary aluminium ingot price has escalated by RMB 40 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,510 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Tianjin has grown by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,480 per tonne.

The domestic low carbon aluminium price has ascended by RMB 66 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,113 per tonne, and the high purity aluminium price has expanded by RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 26,800 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has built up by RMB 50 per tonne to touch the level of RMB 20,000 per tonne on October 13. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne, according to SMM.

However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have continued to remain muted at RMB 19,450 per tonne and RMB 20,450 per tonne.

Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.10 per kg to stop at RMB 20.40 per kg. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20.3-20.5 per kg.
