
According to the Shanghai Metals Market survey, China’s domestic A00 aluminium ingot price has further increased by RMB 110 per tonne to close the week at RMB 19,160 per tonne as of March 8. That brings the aluminium ingot price to 1.05 per cent higher week-on-week than RMB 18,960 per tonne. On a month-on-month basis, the price is up by 1.32 per cent from RMB 18,910 per tonne.

Today, the average price of A00 aluminium ingot is estimated to range between RMB 19,140 per tonne and RMB 19,180 per tonne, with the spot contract traded at a discount price of RMB 60-20 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot price across provinces
In Wuxi and Hangzhou, the A00 aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 110 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,160 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang and Tianjin has reached RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,140 per tonne by gaining RMB 110 per tonne. In Gongyi, the ingot price has increased by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 19,030 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 90 per tonne in Foshan, Chongqing, and Linyi to stand at RMB 19,130 per tonne, RMB 19,110 per tonne, and RMB 19,140 per tonne, respectively.
The domestic low-carbon aluminium price has hiked by RMB 98 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,996 per tonne as of Friday, March 8. The high-purity aluminium price has surged by RMB 100 per tonne to reside at RMB 26,600 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 26,200 per tonne and RMB 27,000 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy prices
In line with the continued rise of A00 aluminium ingot price, aluminium alloy prices have increased unanimously by RMB 100 per tonne. That brings aluminium alloys (ADC12) price at RMB 20,200 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.
According to SMM, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have clocked at RMB 19,750 per tonne and RMB 21,200 per tonne, respectively.
Input costs
Among primary aluminium input costs, the imported bauxite price has inched up by US$0.01 per tonne to US$70.09 per tonne, while the domestic bauxite price has remained muted at RMB 625 per tonne. The domestic alumina price has also registered no change from RMB 3,332 per tonne since yesterday, following four consecutive days of rise.
