China’s A00 aluminium ingot price declines by RMB130/t to RMB18,110/t; Aluminium powder price inches down by RMB0.1/kg

On Tuesday, March 21, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slumped by RMB 130 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,110 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,090 per tonne and RMB 18,130 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80 to RMB 40 per tonne. As per the SMM data, on a W-o-W calculation, a plunge of RMB 170 per tonne was witnessed from RMB 18,280 per tonne recorded on March 14.

The A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi has descended by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,050 per tonne. In Foshan and Hangzhou, the prices have decreased by RMB 140 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,270 per tonne and RMB 18,130 per tonne. On the same day, prices in Wuxi and Chongqing declined by RMB 135 per tonne and RMB 130 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,095 per tonne and RMB 18,270 per tonne. In Linyi, the price has contracted by RMB 130 per tonne to reach RMB 18,160 per tonne. In Shenyang, the price settled at RMB 18,150 per tonne after recording a dip of RMB 90 per tonne. The price in Tianjin remained restrained at RMB 18,250 per tonne.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has fallen by RMB 137 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,863 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 25,800 per tonne and RMB 26,800 per tonne.

The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and (A356) price have declined by RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,250 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne. The average price for the former is expected to range between RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,350 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A356), the average price may orbit between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (A380) price also slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 20,250 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 20,150 per tonne and RMB 20,350 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.1 per kg to halt at RMB 19.8 per kg, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19.7 per kg and RMB 19.9 per kg.
