JPM Group, a French manufacturer, has expanded its presence in the UK commercial vehicle market by selecting West Midlands-based Bevan Group as its exclusive UK distributor. Alongside, JPM formally announced hiring as part of its expansion strategy.

The agreement enables UK operators of light tippers and dropsiders to access JPM’s aluminium and steel bodywork with what Bevan describes as ‘ultra-quick’ turnaround times. Initially, with at least six weeks’ notice of a chassis arrival, Bevan can fit a JPM body and have the completed vehicle ready for collection the following day. The company plans to hold stock bodies in the future, further reducing delivery windows, enabling faster vehicle replacement cycles.
Roy Shelton, Bevan Group sales director, said, “This is great news for operators across a broad spectrum of business activities, who in some cases have had to wait months to get their vehicles built.”
Bevan’s decentralised production strategy improves regional responsiveness by assembling JPM's entire product line across three Black Country-based production facilities and one Merseyside facility under the terms of the new deal. Strong public sector demand for lightweight, corrosion-resistant solutions is demonstrated by Bevan Group's ongoing work on its first order, which consists of 164 all-aluminium rear-end and three-way tipping bodies that will be fitted to 3.5-tonne Nissan chassis and delivered to multiple local authorities in Scotland.

JPM Group, one of Europe’s specialist manufacturers of aluminium dropsiders and tippers for commercial vehicles up to 7,500 kg, operates as a ‘one-stop shop’ partner to Renault, Renault Trucks and Stellantis brands, including Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat and Opel (Vauxhall), fitting bodywork directly on production lines at their factories. It also holds direct supply agreements in France with Iveco and Mercedes-Benz.
The company’s Export Manager, Nathalie Bordas, commented, “Bevan Group is exactly the kind of partner we like to work with. Our two companies are similar in size, both family-owned, and share a philosophy of driving growth through premium products and high-quality service.”
General Manager Daniel Bevan and Roy Shelton made a fact-finding tour of JPM Group’s production facilities last summer, while Bevan later hosted Bordas and her colleagues in December, when the agreement was formally signed.
“Bevan Group has a very good reputation,” she continued. “Roy and his team have excellent contacts with the manufacturers and customers here in the UK, and we are confident that they can be trusted to develop our business and protect our brand in this important market.”
