
Azeraluminium LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation OJSC, has entered into a preliminary agreement with Achenbach Buschhütten to increase aluminium production in Azerbaijan, reported Day.az.
“As a result of the cooperation between AIC and Achenbach Buschhütten, it will be possible to produce aluminum products based on advanced technologies, which, in turn, will lead to the sale of a wider range of value-added products,” according to the state corporation.

Moreover, the output is likely to increase by 50,000 tonnes in addition to the original volume of aluminium production. Aluminium alloys will be used in packaging, automotive, shipbuilding, aviation, defense, construction and telecommunications sectors.
The next step of the agreement is to establish a detailed feasibility study of the project by engaging an international level consulting company. It also requires providing funding from major global investors.
