
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the average alumina spot price has been in the declining phase since early November. On Friday, December 17, the price has dropped by RMB 26 per tonne or by 0.96 percent to settle at RMB 2,834 per tonne.

In Shandong and Henan, the average alumina spot price has gone down by RMB 25 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,590 per tonne and RMB 2,825 per tonne. In Shanxi as well the price has moved down by RMB 25 per tonne to record at RMB 2,825 per tonne. On the other hand in provinces like Guizhou, the price has climbed down by RMB 25 per tonne to stand at 2,925 per tonne for the same day. In Guangxi, the price has decreased by RMB 45 per tonne to register at RMB 2,755 per tonne. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has remained restrained to peg at RMB 3,000 per tonne and RMB 3,050 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has remained the same to stand at RMB 345 per tonne.
Amidst the declining phase, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has surged by RMB 350 per tonne to close in at RMB 19,380 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to stay between RMB 19,360 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 120-80 per tonne.

The price in Wuxi and Hangzhou has gone up by RMB 355 per tonne to close in at RMB 19,385 per tonne and RMB 19,390 per tonne. On the other hand, in Shenyang and Tianjin, the price has escalated by RMB 350 per tonne to record at RMB 19,360 per tonne and 19,370 per tonne, for the same day. In Chongqing, the price has surged by RMB 390 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,490 per tonne. The average A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi has shifted up by RMB 300 per tonne to close in at RMB 19,400 per tonne. In Foshan and Linyi as well the price has hiked by 370 per tonne and RMB 360 per tonne. The price for both provinces stood at RMB 19,480 per tonne.
The aluminium alloy price (ADC12), (A380) and (A356) has also gone up by RMB 200 per tonne, RMB 200 per tonne and RMB 300 per tonne. The price for (ADC12) stood at RMB 20,400 per tonne. The price for (A380) settled at RMB 21,600 per tonne. The price for (A356) registered at RMB 21,350 per tonne.
The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne. The average price for (A380) is expected to hover between RMB 21,500 per tonne and RMB 21,700 per tonne. The average price for (A356) is expected to stay between RMB 21,300 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne.
