Average alumina spot price in China slips by RMB 11/t to stand at RMB 2,823/t; A00 aluminium ingot price ascends by RMB 200/t

The average alumina spot price in China has opened the week on Monday, December 20, slumping by RMB 11 per tonne or by 0.38 percent to stand at RMB 2,823 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

For the same day in Shandong and Henan, the price has gone down by RMB 10 per tonne to close in at RMB 2,940 per tonne and RMB 2,815 per tonne. In Shanxi and Guizhou also the price has slipped by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,815 per tonne and RMB 2,915 per tonne. In Guangxi the price has descended by RMB 15 per tonne to close at RMB 2,740 per tonne. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has fallen down by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,950 per tonne and RMB 3,000 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has remained the same to stand at RMB 345 per tonne.

On the other hand, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has hiked by RMB 200 per tonne to stand in at RMB 19,580 per tonne, as of December 20. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 19,560 per tonne and 19,600 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 120-80 per tonne.

The price in Gongyi and Shenyang has increased by RMB 190 per tonne to register at RMB 19,590 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne. In Foshan, the price has surged by RMB 180 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,660 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou the price has climbed up by RMB 195 per tonne and RMB 200 per tonne. The price for the same has been recorded at RMB 19,580 per tonne and RMB 19,590 per tonne. On the other hand in Chongqing and Tianjin the price has levelled up by RMB 170 per tonne and RMB 180 per tonne. The price for both has been recorded at RMB 19,660 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne. In Linyi the price has ascended by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,640 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy price (ADC12) and (A380) has remained restrained at RMB 20,400 per tonne and RMB 21,600 per tonne.  The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne. The average price for (A380) is expected to range between RMB 21,500 per tonne and RMB 21,700 per tonne.

On the other hand the aluminium alloy price (A356) has moved up by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 21,550 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to stay between RMB 21,500 per tonne and RMB 21,600 per tonne.
