
The average alumina spot price in China on the last day of the week, dated March 27, has recorded a downfall of RMB 18 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,403 per tonne. In the east and north, the price has dwindled by RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 2,400 per tonne, while that in the central has plunged by RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 2,410 per tonne. In the south, however, the price has registered no change from RMB 2,520 per tonne.

The imported alumina price has decreased by RMB 10 per to come in at RMB 2,420 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has neither been an exception and recorded a dip of US$ 2 per tonne to stand at US$ 267 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price, on the other hand, has remained restrained at RMB 11,520 per tonne, after two consecutive rises of RMB 300 per tonne in total. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 11,500 per tonne and RMB 11,540 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 60 per tonne.

But the aluminium ingot price in major cities of China has recorded plunges such as in Hangzhou, where the price has dropped by RMB 45 per tonne to RMB 11,535 per tonne and that in Wuxi and Gongyi by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB to RMB 11,520 per tonne and RMB 11,530 per tonne. In Chongqing, Shenyang, and Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 11,560 per tonne, RMB 11,585 per tonne, and RMB 11,640 per tonne, respectively. Foshan and Tianjin have witnessed a drop of RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 11,520 per tonne and RMB 11,540 per tonne.
The average spot prices of aluminium alloys have also recorded no change, except the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) in south China. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price in the south has declined by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 13,900 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 13,800 per tonne and RMB 14,000 per tonne.
