According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States imported 24,300 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys from Bahrain in November, showing a month-on-month surge of 7,100 per tonne or by 41.27%. In October 2021, 17,200 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys were imported from Bahrain, showing a hike of 4,200 tonnes from 13,000 tonnes in September 2021. A surge in aluminium recycling operations on the continent has been cited by the Brussels-based industry group European Aluminium as a key contributor in progress toward its 10-year sustainability roadmap targets.
