AlCircle is excited to announce the launch of its 9th edition of e-Magazine "Global Aluminium Foundry: Challenges and Opportunities Ahead in 2022", whereby it has addressed the key roles played by aluminium foundries in the production of aluminium products.

Aluminium foundries are functionalized to create aluminium metal castings. In the casting process, aluminium is melted in a liquid state, poured into a mould, and then extracted from the mould or cast once it has cooled and solidified.
Aluminium is one of the most demanded metals in the industry after steel. Owing to its versatile nature, lightweight technology, the usage of aluminium has seen a considerable hike and is considered as one of the most important metals for its recyclability factor.
The e-magazine also highlights how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the aluminium foundries, leading to consequences like widespread production halts in the automotive industry, which further lead to the drop in demands for the metal.
Apart from this, it also covers challenges incurred during the die-casting process, as aluminium die-casting is a very energy-demanding technique, energy consumption accounts for around 25% of the entire cost of die-cast components. In a die casting foundry, the melt-shop alone can account for up to 77% of total energy usage.
In order to exemplify the above-mentioned details further, AlCircle has invited many of the world’s premier foundry and foundry service firms to share their perspectives on the aluminium foundry sector. We would also like to appreciate RUSAL, Inductotherm Corp, MQP, EPIQ Mecfor, BALCO and Fehrmann Tech Group for sharing their valuable thoughts in our e-magazine.
As the major source of global aluminium industry information, AlCircle has tried to cover everything from new and upcoming possibilities in the aluminium foundry sector to common difficulties. In addition, you will find new technologies progressing in the sector, as well as how Industry 4.0 is becoming an intrinsic element, covered in interviews and articles published by the firms.
