In October 2021, 10,300 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys were imported from Argentina, showing a drop down 14,100 tonnes from 24,400 tonnes in September 2021. On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium crude metals and alloys imported from Argentina in November 2021 surged by 4,000 tonnes or by 39.60% from 10,100 tonnes in November 2020. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 12,400 tonnes of US aluminium scrap in November to Canada. On a month-on-month scale, there was a surge of 2,440 per tonne or by 24.49%. In October 2021, 9,960 tonnes of US aluminium scrap was exported to Canada, showing a growth of 2,390 tonnes from 7,570 tonnes in September 2021. On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap export to Canada in November 2021 escalated by 5,860 tonnes or by 89.60% from 6,540 tonnes in November 2020. Mestron Holdings to purchase 10% of Winstar Aluminium Manufacturing Sdn Bhd's share capital
On Friday, February 11, Mestron Holdings Bhd (MHB) signed a share sale and purchase agreement (SSPA) with Chua Nyok Chong (CNC) and Chua Boon Hong (CBH) for RM6 million to purchase 806,000 ordinary shares, or 10% of Winstar Aluminium Manufacturing Sdn Bhd's share capital. CNC has given MHB a call option to purchase additional 20% of Winstar Aluminium in two tranches for RM12 million within 365 days from and including the date of the SSPA, according to an exchange filing today.
