Aug World Aluminum Output 2.184M Tons, +9,000 Tons On Month

Total world aluminum production in August rose by 9,000 metric tons on the month to 2.184 million tons, according to figures released Tuesday by the International Aluminum Institute.
World production in July stood at 2.175 million tons.
August production was up 123,000 tons compared with the same month of 2010, when output was recorded at 2.061 million tons, the IAI said.
