The Merval Index climbed 1 percent to 3,013.87, its fourth day of gains in the past five sessions.
Aluar Aluminio Argentino SAIC (ALUA) , which produces and sells aluminum and aluminum products for domestic use and export, rose 1.9 percent to 4.40 pesos. Aluminum gained 1.5 percent on the London Metals Exchange, breaking a two-day losing streak.
