Ardagh Group, a Luxembourg-based producer of glass and metal products, reportedly announced its plans to expand Jacareí can and Manaus ends production facilities in Brazil this year. Ardagh’s plans to expand the facilities are part of its commitment towards supporting the growth in the Brazilian can market. Ardagh believes these expansions will enable the market to meet customers’ demands for infinitely recyclable and sustainable aluminium packaging.

Ardagh said both Jacareí can facility and Manaus ends facility are currently operating at full capacity and aiming to increase the production further.
The company also said about its intentions to start the Jacareí plant expansion project from the first quarter of 2020 after completing the expansion of the Manaus plant in the third quarter of 2019.
Earlier in April, Ardagh Group had announced its plans to introduce an online product catalogue with a 360° 3D feature enabling customers to interact with its packaging products. A couple of months before this, it had also made an announcement to expand the production by 10 per cent at Valparaiso plant in Indiana, the USA, for meeting the increasing demand for innovative, eye-catching beverage can tabs and ends.
According to the report, Ardagh currently operates more than 100 metal and glass manufacturing facilities across 22 countries. It employs around 23,000 people.
