Antam Gets $292m Alumina Plant Loan

The Japan Bank for International Corporation and two other commercial banks, Mizuho Corporate Bank and Sumitomo Trust and Banking, are providing the capital, Aneka president director Alwin Syah Loebis said in a statement on Monday.
State-controlled Aneka, also known as Antam, and Japan-based Showa Denko have formed a joint venture company called Indonesia Chemical Alumina to build the $450 million chemical alumina plant in Tayan, West Kalimantan. Antam will own 80 percent of the project and Showa Denko the rest. Construction started in April, and commercial production is scheduled to start in January 2014.
