According to Andreas Behrendt, Head of Quality Alu Menziken Romania ESG Responsible Alu Menziken Group, the firm's responsible aluminium production is a top priority to the entire management. With two plants in Switzerland, one on the border between Germany and Austria, and another in northeast Romania, the company has demonstrated a commitment to sustainable production methods, material chain-of-custody procedures, recycling, social impacts related to aluminium production, and production standards, all of which are objectives shared by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI).
Andreas Behrendt stated in a press release: "As a member of the Montana Aerospace AG, a publicly listed conglomerate of companies, and as a responsible partner in our respective communities, our organisation strives to improve our environmental impact significantly."
"Our goal is to reduce especially our carbon footprint, as the industry we are working in is requiring large amounts of energy," Behrendt asserted.
"As a supplier for the aerospace and automotive industries, we are keen to meet and exceed our customer's expectations for a sustainable future," Andreas concluded.
As a global organisation dedicated to setting industrial standards and certifications in the aluminium industry, the ASI brings together various stakeholders in the sector to achieve these goals. Fiona Solomon, the CEO of ASI, is highly optimistic about Alu Menziken joining the group in this mission to become globally attested and seeks significant collaborative opportunities with them to promote responsible and sustainable practices in the aluminium industry.
