Alumina spot price in China registers a week-long decline to RMB3303/t; A00 aluminium ingot price shrinks by RMB210/t

The average alumina spot price in China has recorded a week-long decline from November 25 to December 3. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price ends this week on Friday, December 3, at RMB 3,303 per tonne, losing RMB 48 per tonne from the previous day. Compared to a week ago, China’s alumina price is down by RMB 134 per tonne from RMB 3,437 per tonne on November 26.

In Henan and Guangxi, the average alumina spot price has plunged by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne, respectively, to settle at RMB 3,315 per tonne and RMB 3,100 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price is also standing at RMB 3,315 per tonne but by decreasing by RMB 35 per tonne. In Shandong, alumina price has dropped by RMB 35 per tonne as well to close at RMB 3,425 per tonne.

Aluminium fluoride price, on the other hand, has hiked by RMB 250 per tonne to come in at RMB 12,750 per tonne on December 3, with average prices are likely to range between RMB 12,000 per tonne and RMB 13,500 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price has plummeted by RMB 210 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,690 per tonne on December 3, following three consecutive days of increase from RMB 18,810 per tonne to RMB 18,900 per tonne, found SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,670 per tonne and RMB 18,710 per tonne, with spot contract to remain restrained at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price shrinks by RMB210/t

In Chongqing and Shenyang, the primary aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 220 per tonne to RMB 18,740 per tonne and RMB 18,650 per tonne, while the price in Linyi has increased by RMB 210 per tonne to RMB 18,770 per tonne. In Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,690 per tonne, RMB 18,695 per tonne, and RMB 18,690 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has recorded a sharp decline of RMB 300 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,950 per tonne, with average prices likely to hover around RMB 20,900 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne, as of December 3.
