Alumina price in China dives RMB4/t today, with 0.49% W-o-W fall; A00 ingot price plunges RMB170/t

In China, the average alumina price has lost RMB 4 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,829 per tonne, while the price of alumina in Shandong has released RMB 10 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,805 per tonne. In Henan and Shanxi, the alumina spot price has dipped by RMB 5 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,895 per tonne and RMB 2,810 per tonne. On June 6, last Tuesday, the alumina spot price was RMB 2,843 per tonne, which has dropped by RMB 14 per tonne or 0.49 per cent Week-on-Week.

According to the Shanghai Metal Market, the aluminium spot price has slumped by RMB 170 per tonne, officially stopping at RMB 18,400 per tonne today, June 13. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,380 per tonne and RMB 18,420 per tonne. The discount prices have ranged between RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne.

After a downward projection for the whole of last month, the SMM aluminium price jumped by RMB 290 per tonne or 1.59 per cent on June 2 to rest at RMB 18,570 per tonne. Considering the beginning of June, the prices are on the lower side mid-month.

The eight major provinces in China all have seen de-escalating prices today, with the aluminium spot prices plunging the highest in Gongyi, Foshan and Chongqing by RMB 180 per tonne, to stop at RMB 18,250 per tonne, RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,370 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium price descended by RMB 170 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,400 per tonne, while the aluminium price in Wuxi has gone down by RMB 160 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,390 per tonne. The aluminium price in Shenyang has lost RMB 140 per tonne, settling down at RMB 18,410 per tonne. In Tianjin, the price has dropped by RMB 130 per tonne, with RMB 18,420 per tonne being displayed on the SMM aluminium price chart. Lastly, the aluminium price in Linyi has dived by RMB 120 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,400 per tonne.

The price of low-carbon aluminium in China has plummeted by RMB 195 per tonne to officially close at RMB 18,933 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have dwindled by RMB 200 per tonne, halting at RMB 25,900 per tonne and RMB 26,900 per tonne, respectively.

The prices of aluminium alloy (A356), aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have all decreased by RMB 150 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,100 per tonne, RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 19,450 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder in China has shed RMB 0.20 per kg, officially closing at RMB 20 per kg, with the average prices circling around RMB 19.90 per kg and RMB 20.10 per kg.
