Alucop's plant is committed to excellence and possesses an impressive array of output. It will create 5,000 tonnes of copper anodes, 4,000 tonnes of copper wire rod, 2,500 tonnes of copper billets, 12,000 tonnes of brass billets, 5,000 tonnes of aluminium billets, 12,000 tonnes of brass bars and 20,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots per year. The facility denotes Alucop's versatility and adaptability to market demands while championing environmental stewardship through sustainable practices.

Ministerial endorsement for green economy

The esteemed presence of Moroccan Minister for Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, focuses on the royal commitment to fostering a green economy. Embracing a circular ethos, the project aligns seamlessly with Morocco's ambitions for sustainable growth and resource sovereignty.

Minister Ryad Mezzour, in his own words, exclaimed: "The promotion of a circular economy and the development of waste recovery processes are essential if Morocco is to make a successful transition to a green economy that creates wealth and jobs, guarantees the Kingdom's sovereignty over critical natural resources, and enhances the attractiveness of our regions."

Technical capacities and economic implications

With an investment exceeding €8.8 million, Alucop's venture promises substantial dividends for both the economy and the environment. Boasting impressive production capacities, the facility is poised to generate employment opportunities while bolstering the nation's metal recycling infrastructure.

Founded in 1975, Alucop emerges as an epitome of innovation in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Its foray into Morocco underscores a commitment to regional prosperity and environmental stewardship, cementing its position as a trailblazer in aluminium extrusion. By championing waste recovery initiatives, the nation safeguards its natural resources, fosters regional development, and cultivates a vibrant ecosystem of innovation.
