The largest single-site smelter produced 1623139 tonnes of aluminium during the year, which is a bit higher than 1622261 tonnes recorded in 2024. Alongside an upward growth momentum, the company also reached a landmark safety milestone with more than 42 million work hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), securing two consecutive LTI-free years for the first time in its 50-year history.
Chief executive Ali Al Baqali said the results reflected the organisation’s ability to sustain performance while maintaining a strong safety culture.

“This record is more than a production figure; it reflects our ability to overcome adversity and set new benchmarks in both operational performance and safety. We’ll build on this success, push our performance further, and continue to unlock the full potential of our people and operations.
I’m also proud and grateful to everyone who contributed to making 2025 a truly historic year for Alba.”
The combination of record output and extended injury-free operations highlights the company’s emphasis on disciplined execution and workforce engagement, at a time when global aluminium producers face increasing operational and safety pressures.
Alba said it will now focus on strengthening its operating base through in-house programmes designed to improve efficiency and production throughput, as it looks to carry forward the gains made in 2025.
