
After the two significant declines by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne on September 16 and September 17, the A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded a slight rise today, on September 18, by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,340 per tonne, found Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,320 per tonne and RMB 14,360 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 10-50 per tonne.

In Foshan and Tianjin, the A00 aluminium ingot price has registered the highest rise of RMB 30 per tonne to hover at RMB 14,380 per tonne and RMB 14,350 per tonne, followed by Chongqing and Gongyi where the ingot price has increased by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 14,370 per tonne and RMB 14,225 per tonne. In other cities like Linyi, Wuxi, Hangzhou, and Shenyang, the A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 14,360 per tonne, RMB 14,335 per tonne, and RMB 14,350 per tonne and RMB 14,345 per tonne, respectively.
As far as the input costs are concerned, none among the alumina, pre-baked anode, aluminium fluoride, and aluminium powder has recorded any change in price. The alumina price is found hovering at RMB 2,569 per tonne since September 16, while the pre-baked anode and aluminium fluoride prices are hovering at RMB 3,042 per tonne and RMB 10,050 per tonne for over a week and month. Aluminium powder price is standing at RMB 17.90 per kg after a considerable decline from 18.10 per kg on Tuesday, September 17.
The Australian alumina FOB price has also continued to remain restrained today at US$293 per tonne, since September 11, learned Shanghai Metals Market.
