
According to the Shanghai Metals Market data, A00 aluminium ingot price has opened the week on Monday, December 28, with a decline of RMB 120 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,190 per tonne after two consecutive days of hike. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,170 per tonne and RMB 16,210 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 170-210 per tonne, down by RMB 50 per tonne from the previous day.

In Hangzhou, A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased the highest by RMB 160 per tonne to come in at RMB 16,180 per tonne on December 28, while the price in Gongyi, Foshan, Wuxi, and Shenyang, has fallen by RMB 120 per tonne to stand, respectively, at RMB 16,110 per tonne, RMB 16,420 per tonne, RMB 16,180 per tonne, and RMB 16,185 per tonne. In Chongqing and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 16,260 per tonne and RMB 16,210 per tonne. The primary aluminium ingot price in Linyi has also pegged at RMB 16,210 per tonne, falling by RMB 60 per tonne from December 25.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,900 per tonne on December 28. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 16, 850 per tonne and RMB 16,950 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have, however, remained restrained at RMB 17,350 per tonne and RMB 18,250 per tonne, respectively.
Coming to the primary aluminium input costs, the average alumina spot price has slipped by RMB 1 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,329 per tonne. In Shandong, alumina price has settled at RMB 2,330 per tonne, declining by RMB 20 per tonne on Monday, December 28.
Imported alumina price and Australian alumina FOB price have recorded no change from RMB 2,335 per tonne and US$ 302 per tonne, respectively, December 28.
