A00 aluminium ingot price in Chongqing hikes by RMB20/t to RMB14890/t; Input costs remain restrained

A00 aluminium ingot price has remained restrained at RMB 14,940 per tonne, as of Monday, October 26, following a drop from RMB 14,950 per tonne on Friday, October 23, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,920 per tonne and RMB 14,960 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 140-180 per tonne, down by RMB 50 per tonne from the previous day.

However, the restraint at A00 aluminium ingot price has not touched upon all the major Chinese markets except Gongyi, where the price has remained muted at RMB 14,840 per tonne. In Chongqing and Shenyang, the price has increased by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,890 per tonne and RMB 14,905 per tonne, respectively.

In in Hangzhou and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,930 per tonne and RMB 14,900 per tonne, respectively. The price in Foshan and Wuxi is standing at RMB 14,920 per tonne, decreasing by RMB 20 per tonne as well. In Linyi, the primary aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 14,965 per tonne.

Prices of aluminium alloys have also showed no change on October 26, found SMM. While the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) is still hovering at RMB 15,300 per tonne, the prices of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloys (A380) have continued to be at RMB 15,550 per tonne and RMB 16,200 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium input costs have recorded no change either. Average alumina spot price is muted at RMB 2,294 per tonne, bauxite at RMB 540 per tonne, prebaked anode at RMB 3,132.5 per tonne, and aluminium fluoride RMB 7,700 per tonne.
