A00 aluminium ingot price in China hikes by RMB160/t; Alumina spot price descends by RMB11/t
On Thursday, September 15, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China hiked by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,790 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,770 per tonne and RMB 18,810 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 20 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.
As per the SMM data, the price in Foshan has increased by RMB 180 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,770 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi, Wuxi and Chongqing ascended by RMB 170 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,720 per tonne, RMB 18,790 per tonne and RMB 18,830 per tonne. In Tianjin and Hangzhou, the prices climbed up by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,840 per tonne and RMB 18,810 per tonne. In Linyi and Shenyang, the A00 aluminium ingot price went up by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 18,790 per tonne and RMB 18,720 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price decreased by RMB 11 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,927 per tonne. The price in Henan and Shandong slumped by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 3,000 per tonne and RMB 2,905 per tonne. On the same day, in Shanxi and Guangxi, the price dipped by RMB 5 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,920 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price climbed up by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,450 per tonne and RMB 20,450 per tonne. The average price for the former is expected to range between RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloy (A380) will likely be between RMB 20,350 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (A356) price expanded by RMB 150 per tonne to record at RMB 20,150 per tonne, and the average price is expected to stand between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price grew by US$4 per tonne to rest at US$352 per tonne on the same day. The aluminium powder price inched up by RMB 0.1 per kg to stop at RMB 20.7 per kg, with the average prices coming between RMB 20.6 per kg and RMB 20.8 per kg.
