A00 aluminium ingot price in China closes RMB90/t higher at RMB17470/t amid muted input costs: SMM

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has climbed by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 17,470 per tonne on Tuesday, April 13, following the two consecutive days of decline, learned the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,450 per tonne and RMB 17,490 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 20-20 per tonne.

In Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 120 per tonne to RMB 17,490 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 17,530 per tonne as of April 13. In Shenyang, primary aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 105 per tonne to RMB 17,475 per tonne, while the price in Wuxi and Hangzhou has grown by RMB 95 per tonne and RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 17,485 per tonne and RMB 17,500 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has also climbed by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 17,460 per tonne, and that is Gongyi and Chongqing has gained RMB 80 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne to come in at RMB 17,370 per tonne and RMB 17,410 per tonne, respectively.

The primary aluminium input costs have all remained restrained, including the price of aluminium powder at RMB 20.95 per kg.

Back on the rise in A00 aluminium ingot price, aluminium alloy (A356) price has grown by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,150 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,100 per tonne and RMB 18,200 per tonne.

However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price has remained muted at RMB 17,850 per tonne and RMB 18,850 per tonne, respectively.
