
According to Shanghai Metals Market, the A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded the fourth drop in a row by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 13,980 per tonne, as of September 30. With this continued plunge, the A00 aluminium ingot price stands lower by RMB 310 per tonne from the same period last month. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 13,960 per tonne and RMB 14,000 per tonne, with a spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0 per tonne to RMB 40 per tonne.

The price in Foshan has seen the highest decline of RMB 60 per tonne to stand at RMB 13,990 per tonne, while that in Shenyang by RMB 55 per tonne to RMB 14,005 per tonne and Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Tianjin by RMB 40 per tonne to RMB 14,030 per tonne, RMB 13,990 per tonne, and RMB 14,010 per tonne. In Linyi, Wuxi, and Gongyi, the price has dropped by RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 25 per tonne to hover at RMB 14,070 per tonne, RMB 14,010 per tonne, and RMB 13,910 per tonne, respectively.
Back on the further decline in ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has also decreased today, on September 30, by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 14,700 per tonne. This marks the third consecutive decline, after a week-long restrained at RMB 15,000 per tonne. Month-on-month, the price stands lower by RMB 200 per tonne than the price on August 30.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shown restraint today at RMB 14,150 per tonne and RMB 15,000 tonne per tonne, respectively.
The input costs have also shown restraint across the market. While the average alumina spot price is hovering at RMB 2,604 per tonne, the pre-baked anode price at RMB 3,042 per tonne, aluminium fluoride at RMB 10,050 per tonne, and bauxite at RMB 560 per tonne.
