
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has witnessed a downfall of RMB 230 per tonne after two consecutive days of rise from RMB 17,370 per tonne to RMB 17,760 per tonne. As of today, March 17, the price is standing at RMB 17,530 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 17,510 per tonne and RMB 17,550 per tonne. The spot contract is expected to trade at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne, up by RMB 10 from the previous day.

In Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has also declined by RMB 230 per tonne to stand at RMB 17,530 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang has plunged by RMB 210 per tonne to hover around RMB 17,525 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Gongyi, primary aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 195 per tonne and RMB 190 per tonne to peg at RMB 17,540 per tonne and RMB 17,370 per tonne, respectively. A00 aluminium ingot price in Wuxi, Tianjin, and Linyi is also standing at RMB 17,530 per tonne, while that in Chongqing is hovering around 17,525 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has recorded a decline as well of RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,250 per tonne on Wednesday, March 17, found SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,200 per tonne and RMB 18,300 per tonne.

However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have decreased relatively slower to stand at RMB 18,050 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne, respectively, on March 17.
Primary aluminium input costs have remained muted except for the aluminium powder price, which has inched down by RMB 0.30 per kg to come in at RMB 21.05 per kg.
