However, as per the records import of 2020 denotes de-growth on Y-o-Y by 4.95%, as the import volume in 2019 was recorded at 103,028 tonnes and the expenditure occurred was $317.84 million.

The European country with a long Mediterranean coastline, Italy led the race in the top five list of aluminium foil importation in the UK with 14,872 tonnes and the expenditure registered was $32 million.

The country bridging Europe and Asia, Turkey and the Western European nation, Germany stands in the list of five positioned at number 2 and 3 respectively. The UK imported 9712 tonnes of aluminium foil with an expenditure of $23.15 million from Turkey and 9642 tonnes from Germany which caused an expenditure of $40 million in 2020.
The fourth and the fifth place were listed by Poland and China. The import of aluminium foil to the UK from Poland was counted 8724 tonnes, making an expenditure of $21.60 million, while from China it was 8434 tonnes with a spending of $20.11 million.
