2025 (2nd) Global Renewable Metal Industry Chain Summit
Since the global consensus on green and low-carbon development, the strategic importance of the recycling metals industry has grown significantly. As industrialization accelerates and demand for metal resources continues to rise, recycled metals have emerged as a green, sustainable, and economically viable alternative, attracting worldwide attention.
In recent years, Southeast Asia has become a critical global hub for the collection and processing of recycling resources. As the economic core of the region, Thailand benefits from a well-established recycling system, a strategic geographic location, and strong demand from its manufacturing sector. Over time, it has evolved into a key hub for secondary aluminum, copper, and other metals, exporting significant volumes of recycled resources annually to China and other countries. Moreover, Thailand’s growing automotive, electronics, and appliance industries continue to drive robust demand for recycled metal resources.
Building on the success of the inaugural Global Renewable Metal Industry Chain Summit in Malaysia in June 2024, the 2025 summit will take place in Thailand on June 12-13. The GRMI summit aims to bring together leading enterprises, research institutions, industry experts, and policymakers from around the world to explore new trends, technologies, and policies in the recycling metals industry. The event seeks to foster collaboration, innovation, and contribute to the global transition toward a sustainable, green economy.
