Alcoa is a global aluminum supplier and its product portfolio includes Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminum. Our aluminum segment includes aluminum smelting, casting, and rolling, along with the majority of the energy assets. Aluminum smelting is an important contributor to our portfolio. We further improved our smelting assets when we met our goal of moving to the 38th percentile on the global cost curve in 2016. The unit is well positioned to benefit from improved future market conditions.
