Double-Shaft Shredder

SIMVIC Double-Shaft Shredder is a heavy-duty pre-shredding and material homogenization solution designed for complex scrap processing, with applications in aluminium recycling, ELV recycling, mixed metal recycling and other material recovery systems.

In aluminium recycling, the machine is particularly suitable for processing loose and bulky aluminium scrap, compressed material and mixed aluminium streams containing non-metal attachments. Its counter-rotating twin-shaft cutting and tearing system breaks down irregular and entangled materials into a more uniform, flowable stream, helping reduce bridging, blockage and unstable feeding in downstream equipment.

The shredder is designed to serve as a key transition point between pre-processing and fine crushing or separation. By stabilizing material size and feed characteristics, it helps downstream magnetic separation, screening, eddy current separation and sensor-based sorting operate under more consistent conditions, supporting higher separation efficiency and recovery performance.

Key features include a heavy-duty cutting zone, replaceable cutters for simplified maintenance, planetary gearbox direct drive for efficient power transmission, and adjustable output size to match downstream process requirements. The system is available with electric or hydraulic drive configurations.
