Description
SIMVIC UBC Recycling Plant is an integrated processing solution designed for the recovery of Used Beverage Cans (UBC) and the production of high-purity aluminum scrap for secondary aluminum applications, including closed-loop Can-to-Can recycling.
The system combines bale opening, controlled shredding, aluminium liberation, magnetic separation, particle-size classification and eddy current separation to efficiently remove ferrous metals, plastics, dust and other contaminants from UBC streams. The process is engineered to maintain stable material flow and optimize particle size for downstream separation.
A typical configuration includes a dual-shaft shredder for bale opening, a dedicated SHC crusher for efficient UBC liberation, magnetic separation for ferrous removal, trommel screening for size classification, and eddy current separation for high-purity aluminum recovery. Additional sorting and processing modules can be integrated according to feedstock characteristics and required product quality.
Built around SIMVIC's System Engineering approach, each process stage is coordinated to optimize recovery efficiency, product purity, throughput and energy consumption. The resulting aluminium fraction can be prepared for high-value remelting and Can-to-Can recycling applications.
Typical Applications:
- Used Beverage Cans (UBC)
- UBC bales
- Post-consumer beverage can scrap
- Mixed UBC streams
- Can-to-Can aluminium recycling
Typical Process:
Bale Opening → SHC Crushing & Liberation → Magnetic Separation → Size Classification → Eddy Current Separation → High-Purity Aluminium Output
