According to SMM statistics, in terms of domestic aluminium billet inventory in two regions, the inventory of aluminium billet in Guangdong was 79,100 tonne, and that in Wuxi was 16,900 tonne, totalling 96,200 tonne, a decrease of 1,000 tonne M-o-M. Affected by the easing of Sino-US trade relations, the centre of aluminium prices rose today, with spot aluminium returning to the RMB 20,000 per tonne level.
In the morning session, processing fees continued to stand firm on quotes, with some suppliers actively lowering their quotes to expedite sales, leading to an increase in the circulation of low-priced goods. The transaction performance of some aluminium billet models was noteworthy, but market sentiment remained cautious, and trading sentiment weakened.
Today, the processing fees in the Foshan aluminium billet market were quoted at RMB 360-410 per tonne, down RMB 40 per tonne; in the Wuxi market, they were quoted at RMB 370-420 per tonne, down RMB 30 per tonne; and in the Nanchang region, they remained unchanged at RMB 400-450 per tonne (unit: RMB per tonne).
