This recognition represents a major milestone in Taha International’s journey and stands as a testament to the company’s pioneering role in advancing aluminium hot dross processing technology. Through its ongoing commitment to a zero-waste circular economy and its proactive engagement with pressing environmental and climate challenges, Taha has firmly established itself as a key contributor to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Its efforts continue to support the transition to a green economy and reduce carbon emissions and industrial waste.

Taha International was selected following a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation process conducted by a distinguished jury panel representing Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. The company achieved the highest average score in its category, reaffirming its global leadership in aluminium hot dross processing and its dedication to innovation, scientific research, and talent development in support of a sustainable future for the industry.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Ammar Awachi, CEO of Taha International, commented: "We are honoured to receive this award, which reflects an enduring path of perseverance, and a clear strategic vision grounded in sustainability and innovation. At Taha, we have worked tirelessly to develop a distinguished Bahraini industrial model centred on zero-waste hot dross processing and resource recovery, while contributing to national goals for carbon neutrality by 2060. This recognition affirms that we are progressing on the right path towards a more responsible and sustainable aluminium sector."

Mr. Awachi noted that receiving the award in Bahrain, the founding ground of Taha’s success story, is hugely satisfying and deeply meaningful, and expressed appreciation to key partners, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and Midal Cables, whose longstanding support has been instrumental in making this vision a reality.

The Power List Middle East Awards celebrate exemplary public- and private-sector achievers whose work is reshaping the region. The 2025 edition placed special emphasis on sustainability and transformative business models, honouring leaders in fields such as entrepreneurship, educational innovation, hospitality excellence, public service, marketing, finance, media, and healthcare. By showcasing these accomplishments, the event provides an international stage for the region’s most inspiring success stories.
