SMM aluminium ingot price gains RMB120/t to RMB19,160/t; Alumina price ascends to RMB2,915/t

The Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) on Friday, August 31, reported that China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has expanded by RMB 120 per tonne to close at RMB 19,160 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,140 per tonne and RMB 19,180 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 60 to RMB 100 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the prices in both Hangzhou and Chongqing have hiked by RMB 130 per tonne to close at RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,020 per tonne. In Linyi, the domestic aluminium ingot price has gained RMB 120 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,110 per tonne. On the same day, the A00 aluminium ingot prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Shenyang have ascended by RMB 110 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,990 per tonne, RMB 19,120 per tonne and RMB 19,060 per tonne. In Tianjin and Gongyi, the prices have added RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,080 per tonne and RMB 18,940 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 109 per tonne to a halt at RMB 19,708 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have ascended by RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 26,700 per tonne and RMB 27,700 per tonne. The average alumina spot price has grown by RMB 3 per tonne to reach RMB 2,915 per tonne. The prices have shown no change in most provinces, except in Guizhou, where it has gone up by RMB 10 per tonne to lock in at RMB 2,915 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have grown by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 20,400 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A380), the average prices may orbit between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne. On the same day, aluminium alloy (A356) increased by RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,800 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne.
