China’s SMM A00 aluminium ingot price displays 3.76% Q-o-Q hike; High purity aluminium price gains RMB100/t

Today, on August 30, the Shanghai Metals Market has recorded heightening prices, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price increasing by RMB 130 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,040 per tonne. The average prices have ranged between RMB 19,020 per tonne and RMB 19,060 per tonne.

If we consider the price on May 30, which was RMB 18,350 per tonne, it can be seen that there is a 3.76 per cent or RMB 690 per tonne accelerating growth on a Quarter-on-Quarter basis.

China’s central provinces have seen escalating prices as well, with the A00 aluminium price rising the most in Foshan by RMB 130 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,880 per tonne, followed by RMB 120 per tonne hike in Shenyang, where the aluminium price parked at RMB 18,950 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou, the aluminium price has bulged by RMB 110 per tonne to register official positions at RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,020 per tonne, respectively. The official aluminium price in Gongyi has soared by RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,870 per tonne. The aluminium price in Tianjin has jumped up the graph by RMB 80 per tonne to mark a rate of RMB 18,990 per tonne. In Linyi, the aluminium price is anchored at RMB 18,990 per tonne, with an addition of RMB 50 per tonne. Lastly, the aluminium price in Chongqing has gained RMB 20 per tonne, settling down at RMB 18,890 per tonne.

The low-carbon aluminium price in China has surged by RMB 84 per tonne to close at RMB 19,599 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium price (99.99%) and the high-purity aluminium price (99.996%) have both increased by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) have soared by RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,650 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A360) has accumulated RMB 150 per tonne, settling at RMB 19,950 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has inched up by RMB 0.10 per kg to reside at RMB 20.90 per kg, with average prices loitering between RMB 20.80 per kg and 21 per kg.
