
The Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) on Tuesday, August 29, recorded a growth of RMB 10 per tonne in A00 aluminium ingot price. The price as of today closed at RMB 18,910 per tonne, with the spot contract prices expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 200 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 18,890 per tonne and RMB 18,930 per tonne. On M-o-M calculation, the domestic aluminium ingot price witnessed a surge of RMB560 per tonne from RMB 18,350 per tonne recorded on July 28, the same year, whereas Y-o-Y a drop of RMB 50 per tonne was seen from RMB 18,960 on August 29, 2022.

The prices as of today have hiked by RMB 60 per tonne in Chongqing to reside at RMB 18,870 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 40 per tonne in Linyi to close at RMB 18,940 per tonne. In Foshan, the A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 20 per tonne to reach RMB 18,750 per tonne.
On the same day, in Hangzhou, Shenyang and Tianjin, the prices have moved up by RMB 10 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,910 per tonne, RMB 18,830 per tonne and RMB 18,910 per tonne. As per the data, the prices in Gongyi and Wuxi have fallen by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to score at RMB 18,770 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 25 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,515 per tonne. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have shown no change to close at RMB 19,200 per tonne, RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne.
