On November 28, the Shanghai Metals Market witnessed a more or less uniform slump in aluminium prices, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price losing RMB 40 per tonne to close at RMB 18,850 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 18,830 per tonne and RMB 18,870 per tonne.
If we consider the SMM aluminium price on August 28, we can establish a Quarter-on-Quarter drop of RMB 50 per tonne or 0.26 per cent from RMB 18,900 per tonne recorded on that day.
China’s eight central provinces have all shown deflecting prices today, with the highest fall recorded in Wuxi, where the aluminium price stood at RMB 18,840 per tonne after negating RMB 50 per tonne. Other than that, Gongyi, Hangzhou, Chongqing and Shenyang have all discarded RMB 40 per tonne. In Gongyi, the aluminium price was RMB 18,870 per tonne; in Hangzhou, it was RMB 18,850 per tonne; Chongqing and Shenyang registered a price of RMB 18,870 per tonne each. The aluminium prices in Foshan and Linyi have both decreased by RMB 30 per tonne to officiate at RMB 18,960 per tonne and RMB 18,910 per tonne. Lastly, Tianjin saw the lowest decline of RMB 10 per tonne, settling down at RMB 18,890 per tonne.
China’s low-carbon aluminium price has plunged by RMB 28 per tonne to close at RMB 19,709 per tonne.
The prices of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A360) have both encumbered a loss of RMB 50 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,750 per tonne, respectively.
China’s aluminium powder price has not changed at all.
