The Shanghai Metals Market has witnessed a massive slump of RMB 470 per tonne today, closing at RMB 21,240 per tonne, with the average prices hovering between RMB 21,220 per tonne and RMB 21,260 per tonne.
The eight main provinces in China have all seen a stark downtrend in aluminium prices, with the highest plunge of RMB 480 per tonne recorded in Foshan where the aluminium price hooked at RMB 21,120 per tonne. Other than that, the aluminium prices in Wuxi, Hangzhou, Chongqing and Shenyang, the aluminium prices have all suffered a major loss of RMB 450 per tonne.

In Gongyi, the aluminium price has dived by RMB 430 per tonne to rest at RMB 21,100 per tonne, while the aluminium prices in Tianjin and Linyi have discarded RMB 370 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,260 per tonne and RMB 21,240 per tonne, respectively.
China’s low-carbon aluminium price has negated RMB 612 per tonne to officially close at RMB 22,109 per tonne.
The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both descended by RMB 500 per tonne to close at RMB 28,600 per tonne and RMB 29,600 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has dropped US$18 per tonne to officially close at US$475 per tonne.
The aluminium alloy (A356) price and the aluminium alloy (ADC12) price have shrunk by RMB 500 per tonne and RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 21,750 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne, respectively.
China’s aluminium powder price has crawled down the graph by RMB 0.50 per kg to settle down at RMB 23.90 per kg, with the average prices ranging between RMB 23.80 per kg and RMB 24 per kg.
