SMM A00 aluminium ingot price levitates by RMB450/t, with incredible Y-o-Y growth; Average alumina spot price in Shandong gains RMB10/t

On September 1, today, the Shanghai Metals Market has witnessed enormous growth in aluminium prices all over China, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price augmenting by RMB 450 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,610 per tonne. The average prices have ranged between RMB 19,590 per tonne and RMB 19,630 per tonne.

According to the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price historical data, on September 1 2022, the aluminium price was RMB 18,350 per tonne. It can be seen that there has been a spectacular Year-on-Year growth of RMB 1,260 per tonne or 6.87 per cent, if we compare it with the present day. 

China’s major eight provinces have experienced massive influx today, with the aluminium ingot price heightening the most in Gongyi by RMB 510 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,450 per tonne. In Wuxi, the aluminium price has risen by RMB 490 per tonne resting at RMB 19,610 per tonne and in Tianjin it has escalated by RMB 480 per tonne to settles at RMB 19,560 per tonne. Linyi also had a marked price of RMB 19,560 per tonne, with RMB 450 per tonne added. The aluminium ingot price in Hangzhou has expanded by RMB 460 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,610 per tonne, followed by RMB 440 per tonne surge in Foshan and Chongqing, where the aluminium ingot prices halted at RMB 19,430 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne, respectively. Only, in Shenyang, the aluminium price has marked an RMB 110 per tonne hike, to officiate at RMB 19,060 per tonne.

The low-carbon aluminium price in China has increased by RMB 437 per tonne to close at RMB 20,145 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium price (99.99%) and the high-purity aluminium price (99.996%) have accumulated a staggering RMB 400 per tonne to anchor at RMB 27,100 per tonne and RMB 28,100 per tonne.

The averaged alumina spot price has soared by RMB 1 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,916 per tonne, while the alumina spot price in Shandong has levitated by RMB 10 per tonne to rest at 2,890 per tonne. The alumina spot price in Shanxi has suffered a loss of RMB 5 per tonne to close at RMB 2,920 per tonne.

The CIF Index of Import Bauxite has gained RMB 0.57 per tonne to clock at RMB 485.36 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A360) have escalated by RMB 450 per tonne, to officially close at RMB 20,250 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) has floated RMB 250 per tonne upwards closing at RMB 19,650 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has inched up by RMB 0.40 per kg, to halt at RMB 21.40 per kg, with average prices cycling between RMB 21.30 per kg and RMB 21.50 per kg.
