According to the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has declined by RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,290 per tonne as of today. China has been experiencing a continuous fall in domestic aluminium ingot prices since early July, owing to bearish demand among downstream consumers.
Today, the average prices are expected to stand between RMB 19,270 per tonne and RMB 19,310 per tonne, with the spot contract price to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80 to RMB 40 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot prices have declined in all the provinces, with the highest in Shenyang, which fell by RMB 160 per tonne and settled at RMB 19,240 per tonne.
In Gongyi and Foshan, the prices dropped by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 130 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,190 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices in Wuxi, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Tianjin have slumped by RMB 140 per tonne to dock at RMB 19,280 per tonne, RMB 19,290 per tonne, RMB 19,260 per tonne, and RMB 19,340 per tonne. In Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price decreased by RMB 110 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,340 per tonne.
On the same day, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium also dipped by RMB 125 per tonne to RMB 20,117 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price contracted by RMB 200 per tonne to RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne, respectively.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has descended by RMB 150 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,750 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne. For aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloys (A380), the prices have moved down by RMB 50 per tonne to reach RMB 19,650 per tonne and RMB 20,650 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to be between RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 19,750 per tonne. For (A380) the average prices may range between RMB 20,550 per tonne and RMB 20,750 per tonne.
