Iñigo Guinea, a member of the founding family and CEO since 2017, is leaving operational management to focus on providing strategic support to the industrial projects of Guiar Group, the holding company of GHI Smart Furnaces.

Berasategui's appointment coincides with the 2025-2027 strategic plan launch, an initiative aimed to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, digital, and connected aluminium industry.

A renewed mission for a sustainable future

With a focus on the environmental and technological demands of the market, GHI has reformulated its strategic mission to "provide comprehensive solutions for aluminium recycling". The company seeks to consolidate itself as a strategic partner, offering not only equipment but also knowledge and support to help its customers reduce their environmental footprint and optimise results.

GHI's vision is also ambitious: to become a global reference in the construction of sustainable and autonomous recycled aluminium production plants.

Blueprint 2025-2027: Transforming the industry

As it approaches its 90th anniversary, GHI reaffirms its commitment to transforming the aluminium recycling industry. The Blueprint 2025-2027 strategic plan is structured around three fundamental pillars:

  • Decarbonisation: Implementation of technologies to reduce the carbon footprint in all operations.
  • Digitalisation: Use of artificial intelligence and advanced tools to optimise processes, improve real-time connectivity, and increase efficiency.
  • Global expansion: Strengthening the international presence, based on more than 8,000 installations in 48 countries.

With these initiatives, GHI seeks to position itself as a visionary leader in transitioning to a more sustainable, efficient, and competitive industry.
