In April 2025, some export orders concluded during the previous period when China's alumina export window was open were still being executed, and China's monthly alumina exports remained high. However, as May began, the impact of previous export orders was expected to further diminish, and alumina exports were projected to decrease further. Meanwhile, it was reported that some long-term alumina import contracts had arrived, and alumina imports were expected to increase in May. As a result, the monthly net alumina exports in May were anticipated to significantly decrease.
