Emirates Global Aluminium has celebrated the contributions of its 50 employees in innovations and improvements at the annual Rashid Awards. The accolades are particularly for acknowledging those employees who have contributed tangible innovation and improvements in the areas of safety, cost optimisation, environment, and operational efficiency through EGA’s Suggestion Scheme and Tamayaz programme.
EGA’s Suggestion Scheme programme started its operation in 1981. It is one of the longest-running suggestion scheme programs running on the global platform. More than half a million suggestions have been submitted by all the employees within the company. In addition, the Tamayaz programme was introduced in 2016, which enables the managers and the team to analyse the problem faced by them, along with the inclusion of the required solutions.
Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium, said: “Innovation and continuous improvement have powered EGA’s progress for decades. Our success depends on our people turning great ideas into improvements, every day and everywhere in our operations. I congratulate this year’s Rashid Award winners and thank every colleague who is helping us innovate for a better future.”
