The Shanghai Metals Market, on November 30, marked a region-wide digression in aluminium price trends, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price plummeting by RMB 140 per tonne to close at RMB 18,630 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 18,610 per tonne and RMB 18,650 per tonne.
If the SMM aluminium price on November 30, last year, is taken into account, a year-on-year slump of RMB 340 per tonne or 1.79 per cent can be seen.
China’s eight main provinces have all witnessed declining prices today, with the SMM aluminium price stooping the highest in Foshan by RMB 160 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,720 per tonne finally. In Hangzhou, the aluminium price has decreased by RMB 140 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,620 per tonne, followed by RMB 130 per tonne drop in Wuxi and Shenyang, with the prices officiating at RMB 18,620 per tonne and RMB 18,690 per tonne, respectively. The aluminium price in Chongqing drooped by RMB 110 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,660 per tonne, while in Tianjin and Gongyi, there have been RMB 90 per tonne plunge with the prices resting at RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,700 per tonne. Lastly, in Linyi, the aluminium price shed RMB 70 per tonne to park at RMB 18,700 per tonne.
The low-carbon aluminium price in China has lost RMB 178 per tonne and stopped at RMB 19,458 per tonne.
The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both displaced RMB 100 per tonne to officially settle at RMB 26,300 per tonne and RMB 27,300 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has negated RMB 150 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,300 per tonne. The prices of aluminium alloy (A360) and aluminium alloy (ADC12) have shrunk by RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne.
China’s aluminium powder price has dived by RMB 0.10 per kg to register a rate of RMB 21.20 per kg, with the average prices swirling between RMB 21.10 per kg and RMB 21.30 per kg.
