
As per the aluminium price index displayed in the Shanghai Metal Market, the aluminium spot price has experienced an RMB 40 per tonne loss, officially stopping at RMB 18,780 per tonne today, June 19. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,760 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne.

Throughout June, the highest recorded prices until now have been RMB 18,570 per tonne on June 2 and RMB 18,650 per tonne on June 9. Otherwise, last week, on Friday, June 16, the aluminium spot price was RMB 18,820 per tonne, considerably higher than the usual mark of RMB 18,500 per tonne, yet down 6.64 per cent year-on-year. On June 22, 2022, the aluminium spot price was RMB 20,160 per tonne, as listed in the SMM aluminium price index.
The eight central provinces in China have all seen decreasing prices today, with the aluminium spot price dropping the highest in Linyi by RMB 90 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,680 per tonne, followed by RMB 60 per tonne fall in Foshan, resting at RMB 18,700 per tonne. In Gongyi and Wuxi, the aluminium prices have shed RMB 50 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,660 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne, respectively. Other than that, Hangzhou and Chongqing have also witnessed a uniform downward shift of RMB 20 per tonne, settling at RMB 18,800 per tonne and 18,780 per tonne. Lastly, in Shenyang and Tianjin, the aluminium prices have both released RMB 10 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,760 per tonne each.
The price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and the price of high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both dipped by RMB 100 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 26,200 per tonne and RMB 27,200 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has eliminated RMB 50 per tonne, halting at RMB 19,450 per tonne, while the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have both shed RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,500 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne, respectively.
